Activities 2015-16

• Tree Plantation Drive was organized on the college campus on July 30, 2015.About 100 volunteers participated enthusiastically in it.
• To create awareness among the masses, a rally was organized in the adopted village Ram Darbar on Aug.08, 2015 and also on Oct.22, 2015.
• A Blood Donation Camp was organized on Oct.12, 2015. The youth was motivated for voluntary blood donation. 125 units of blood were collected.
• An interactive session with Mr. Gaurav Gaur, Assistant Professor, Panjab University, Chandigarh was organized on Nov. 19, 2015 to create awareness about the spread of AIDS.
• On Dec.01, 2015, a Candle March was organized in the vicinity of the college. The students raised slogans, performed Nukkad Natak and distributed pamphlets to generate awareness among the residents about the causes and measures to counter HIV/ AIDS.
• Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Essay Writing and Paper Reading Contests were organized on Jan. 27, 2016.
• The Red Ribbon Club conducted an interactive session to answer the anonymous queries, doubts and misgivings related to AIDS.

• The society organized an interactive session on 22nd Aug.’14, in which Mr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Director Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society, Chandigarh awakened the students about the hazards of AIDS and its preventive methods. Convener of the AIDS Awareness Society, Prof. Rajinder Singh delivered an informative talk on AIDS- Causes and Prevention.
• An awareness campaign and rally was organised at Ram Darbar on 5th Oct.’14, where the students walked the nook and corner to spread awareness. The members of the society distributed pamphlets to the residents, about AIDS awareness on the occasion.
• On the eve of World AIDS Day on 1st Dec.’14, a candle march was organized in the College vicinity. Banners were raised, balloons were flown and candles were lighted to pledge for an AIDS Free World. The students also raised Slogans Writing, performed nukkad nataks and distributed pamphlets to commemorate the occasion.
• The society also organized Slogan Writing, Poster making, Essay writing, and Paper Reading contests on 24th Jan.’15 which were covered by the leading newspapers of the tricity.
• Red Ribbon Club (RRC) performed a highly appreciable task of answering the anonymous queries about the highly conservative topic of AIDS and discussed its potent causes in a special session. The members of the society are recognized by the “Red Ribbon Batches” which identify as the member of the red ribbon club.
