Activities 2015-16

Workshops on Rangoli, Collage Making, Knitting, Pakhi Making, Phulkari, Dasuti and Bagh (Embroidery) were organized in September 2015.
A Visit to Rock Garden was arranged in October to show the master craftsmanship of late Mr. Nek Chand, in order to teach the students how to make best out of waste material.
The students of the Society represented the college at Chandigarh Carnival, a fest organized by Chandigarh Administration in collaboration with Chandigarh Tourism in November.

In the month of August an orientation workshop was organised in which almost 100 students volunteers of the society have participated. Dr. Simmi Arora has hold a detail presentation in which she briefed about Best out of Waste Society and its plans for the session 2014-15.Students were explained the methods of recycling of waste to make utility articles out of it and were suggested how various innovative and creative ideas can be put together to create something new and useful rather than throwing these waste materials into the landfills.
Students volunteers had participated in Chandigarh Carnival on 21st Oct.’14 to 23rd Oct.’14. For Chandigarh Carnival more than 50 students have prepared a float on 'Swachh Bharat'.
