Bachelor of Commerce
The Department of Commerce was established in the year 1982 with the intake capacity of 140
students purely on the basis of merit. A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) remains highly
relevant today, especially as global economies continue to grow and diversify. B.Com provides
essential knowledge in the field of Accounting, Economics, Business Law, Company Law, Auditing,
Finance, Marketing, Taxation, Human Resource Management, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing and
Soft Skills. The major focus area of the Department of Commerce is the development of
Entrepreneurial, Managerial, Communication and Accounting skills of the students to prepare them
as per industry requirements.
The Commerce Graduates can pursue roles such as:

- Business Analyst
- Marketing Executive
It also serves as a stepping stone for competitive exams (like CA, CFA, UPSC, ICWA, CIMA etc.).
Vision of the Department of Commerce is to impart quality education and elevate the standards of
the students to the global levels to enhance their employability and motivate as well as train them to
be self reliant by opting for Entrepreneurship.
The Department is organizing different competitions from time to time like Quiz, Slogan writing,
Essay writing, Debate, Just a Minute, Declamation for the overall grooming and development of the
students.
